about

An excerpt from the Radio TLV Tel Aviv series, "Israel in Translation" entitled "Stories not Swords in the Secret Book of Kings", first broadcast on 31st August, 2016:

The show opened with a clip of audio actually sampled from one of my earlier 'live' YouTube videos, which featured my arrangement for solo lyre of a reconstruction of an ancient Egyptian melody:

I learnt the incredible melody which I arranged in this slideshow-style video, from a track I had originally heard on the album "Music of the Ancient Sumerians, Egyptians & Greeks" by "The Ensemble De Organographia". The scale used in their recording, was taken from a three-holed Egyptian vertical flute, still in a playable condition.
